Tian's Gifts is an oriental arts, crafts & gifts shop in Grainger Market in Newcastle upon Tyne selling unique, intangible cultural heritage products that you cannot find anywhere else. It is the home of unique handmade oriental gifts that embrace Chinese culture and bring it into the modern world using traditional techniques.
Tian was inspired by a friend who is the official master for China's Intangible Cultural Heritage product: silk embroidery. Following a visit to her studio, Tian was fascinated by the amazing art work and went on to talk to other artists, persuading them to allow her to bring some to the UK. Every single item sold at the shop is individually sourced so you will find a lot of unique designs that are unavailable anywhere else.
After 18 months' hard work, Tian's Gifts has been featured on BBC 5 Live and in the Financial Times, won a customer service award 2019 from Newcastle city council, won SmallBiz100 UK 2020, became the finalist of Great British Entrepreneur Awards, and she has also represented the North East region at the NMTF Young Traders Market National Final 2019 and 2020.
