Natalie Fletcher is the founder of Mancmade Ltd.
Backed by more than 30 years sewing experience, Mancmade Ltd is a micro manufacturer, supplying clothing (limited quantities), accessories and soft furnishings, and based in Trafford, Manchester. Also on offer are bespoke sewing alterations and repairs, as well as personalised printing and embroidery services. Natalie believes that British manufacturing is the way forward, for many reasons including consumer control and sustainability, with the hope of encouraging consumers to shop local and to work with local businesses. She registered the company name in 2017 but she established the company in 2020 following her establishment of a ‘scrub hub’ (helping to quickly produce much-needed scrubs for the NHS). Natalie then began to produce facemasks, donating £1 from every mask sold to the Big Issue North hardship fund, and the business grew from there.
Natalie's next challenge will be to expand her business further and build a strong, committed team – something she has experience in from previous roles where she has delivered workshops as well as training and employing apprentices.
