Nadine Oei started her career in the banking industry, working for years in M&A advising on buying and selling of retail and consumer companies. Having grown up with an entrepreneurial father, she decided it was time to pave her own way and left the City behind to start her own business.
She founded the award-winning brand Loella Cosmetics as she saw an opportunity in revamping an old established staple product. By combining quality, affordability and a new refreshing design, Loella soon caught the eye of makeup artists around the world. The latest collection in collaboration with Head of Makeup at X-Factor and Love Island Sarah Exley, has found its way into the working kits of the makeup artists of Gal Gadot, Serena Williams and Sandra Oh. Using the softest vegan and cruelty free bristles, Loella brushes are being used at TV studios, makeup schools and by makeup lovers around the world.
Nadine is a strong believer that one should always try to marry the commercial with the social and has partnered with the incredible #iamtheCODE foundation. The foundation teaches girls in disadvantaged communities the skills and confidence to become the coders and tech entrepreneurs of the future and Loella donates 10p of every brush sold to this worthwhile initiative.
