Minal comes from a family of small business owners. In Uganda, her grandfather owned his own general store. After arriving in the UK in 1972, her parents realised that running a business would be the best way to manage a young family. They went on to run three different small retail businesses.
Fast forward 44 years to 2016, when Minal decided to start her own business, Marketing by Minal. In a lot of ways, Minal believes marketing is much like cooking. A recipe, the right ingredients and a few basic tools is what small business owners need to find their inner marketer. Minal provides her 20 years' marketing experience to help them find that inner marketer.
Minal is the resident marketing expert at Brunel University and provides free consultations for their Enterprise Hub students. She sits on the executive committee for the Hayes Town Business Forum and organises her LinkedIn Local meetings as well as volunteering for Harlington Hospice. She is one of the f:Entrepreneur #ialso 100 2019 and an Enterprise Nation advisor.
