Chitra Tarling founded the Independent Design Collective in 2017. Chitra had been attending markets every weekend in all weathers, and had met several artists who wanted somewhere permanent to sell their work. Having always wanted a shop, when the opportunity came up she had to go for it!
Independent Design Collective now sells the work of over 40 Bristol local artists, has a new e-commerce website and has guest artists featuring their work in the shop on Saturdays.
